About StatementFix

StatementFix exists because "contact your bank" is not a fix.

Why it exists

Every month, banks produce statement files that violate the very format rules their own download pages advertise — an unescaped ampersand here, a malformed date there — and every month, finance apps respond with error codes that explain nothing. The forums are full of people stuck between a bank that says "the file is fine" and an app that says "invalid file".

This site does two things about that: the fixer diagnoses and repairs your exact file, and the error guides document what each import error actually means at the byte level, so the fix is understandable rather than magical.

Privacy as architecture

Statement files are among the most sensitive documents a person has. That is why StatementFix has no upload endpoint at all: the repair engine ships to your browser and runs there. Not uploading your data is not a policy we promise — it is how the site is built.
